I am a self taught software engineer, 32 years old, working at Barrage for past 4 years. I consider myself a full-stack developer with fear of CSS, working in NodeJs and VueJs, as much as I love working on front-end applications, I mainly focus on the back-end. Mark Mandel is a Developer Advocate for Google Cloud for Games and founder of the open source, multiplayer dedicated game server scaling project Agones. Hailing from Australia, but now living in San Francisco, Mark built his career developing backend systems for over 20 years, writing open source software and building infrastructure in the cloud.
Jon has been working at Google since April 2018 as a Google Cloud Developer Advocate and previously was a high school coding instructor and a contractor working on medical software. His love for JRPGs, FPS and tactical games led him to work in Cloud Gaming. He enjoys helping developers integrate Google Cloud APIs easily within Unity and his passions include finding ways to use the cloud to break down barriers in gaming. He is currently working on Open Match, an open-source matchmaking framework. Fernando Reyes Medina is a Game Designer at 343 Industries, designing and creating exciting new multiplayer experiences for the upcoming Halo Infinite. Born and raised in Mexico City, he graduated with a Computer Science degree from Tec de Monterrey. He is currently a board member and the LATAM Director for Latinx in Gaming, a non-profit organization focus on helping members from the Latinx community to succeed in the Gaming Industry. Fernando believes in the true democratization of Gaming, where everyone has a game that talks to them and everyone is empowered to create their own games.
Marta Kunic graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb in 2016., and she’s been working in Nanobit ever since. She’s currently a Senior Game Developer, and has worked on Nanobit’s greatest hits like Hollywood Story and My Story. She also likes to participate in various events for students and junior developers, and has mentored several Juniors in Nanobit as well. In her spare time she is an avid baker and bookworm.
Nenad Vrkic graduated from the Faculty of Engineering Rijeka in 2017, but he had already been working as a system administrator while at university. He’d worked as an AWS developer on several projects, the most famous one probably being his work for Taco Bell. He joined Nanobit in 2019, as a DevOps engineer and has been responsible for maintaining backend architecture for all published mobile games. He feels very lucky to be able to combine his passion for gaming with his professional life.
