Official Shift Program Experiences
Day 0 – Sunday, September 13th
Eat, Drink, Explore – Zadar Gastro Tour
Forget the classic dinner. This is how you actually taste a city.
Your group takes over Zadar’s Old Town for ninety minutes of the real thing — four or five handpicked spots tucked inside 3,000 years of history, each one chosen for what it does best. Craft beer at a local brewery. Dalmatian wine poured by the glass. A MaraschinoKiss or Pelinkovac Tonic at a bar that’s been here longer than most tech companies have existed.
A licensed guide leads the way. Traditional small plates keep pace with the drinks. No tourist traps, no set menus, no awkward group dinners where half the table checks their phone.
Just good people, the Old Town, and Zadar doing what Zadar does best.
Licensed guide. Four drinks minimum. Limited spots — don’t leave it too late.
Into the Adriatic – Island Escapes from Zadar by Boat
Some conferences give you a tote bag. Shift gives you the Adriatic.
Pick your escape – or let the group decide.
Option A — Dugi Otok & Sakarun Beach
One of the Adriatic’s best-kept secrets, an hour from Zadar’s dock. Military tunnels, a submerged shipwreck, Veli Rat lighthouse, and Sakarun Beach – white sand and turquoise water that has no business being this close to a tech conference. So much diversity and beauty full of historical stories – in just a few kilometers of a pleasant & sunny boat ride.
Option B — Kornati National Park & Telašćica Cliffs
Eighty-nine islands. Two hundred and twenty square kilometres of protected Adriatic. A full day in one of Europe’s most dramatic national parks – swim, explore, and find a quiet corner of the sea that feels completely removed from the rest of the world. Plus, the mighty cliffs of Telaščica nature park, that feel as if they had been taken from Lord Of The Rings movie. The route is flexible. The day is yours. Both options include a boat and a skipper who knows these waters better than most people know their own city. Limited spots per departure. Choose your island — or let us help you decide.

Zadar Walking Tour – 3,000 Years in 90 Minutes
Three thousand years of history. Ninety minutes on foot. One city that consistently surprises people who thought they already knew Europe.
A guided walk through Zadar’s ancient core — Roman forum, Venetian walls, a 9th-century cathedral, and two iconic modern installations that have put this city on the global map.
A licensed Cultourist guide handles the history, the context, and the stories that don’t make it onto Wikipedia. Your group handles the questions, the photos, and the inevitable debate about whether you have time for a coffee stop.
Small group, customisable stops, and a pace that actually lets you take it all in.
This is Zadar at its most honest. Limited spots.
The Zadar Wine Escape – By Cabrio, Through Wine Country
Forget the wine bar. These grapes have a postcode.
Climb aboard a cabrio bus – roof open, Dalmatian sun overhead – and head out of the city to where Zadar’s wine actually comes from. Two wineries, one expert guide, and five glasses that tell the story of Croatian wine better than any menu ever could.
At Royal Vineyards and Degarra, you’ll work through a lineup that moves from crisp Pošip and bold Plavac Mali to the rare Crljenak, a sparkling Primo, and Bomarry – a marasca cherry wine that tastes exactly like Zadar smells in summer. Tuna pâté, olives, and olive pâté keep things grounded between pours.
No generic wine tour energy. Just two serious producers, a guide who knows their story, and a group of people discovering that Croatian wine has been quietly outperforming its reputation for years.
Expert guide. Five wines. Two wineries. Limited spots — this one fills fast.
Day 1 – Monday, September 14th
Zadar Wine & Sunset Cruise
Some of the best conversations at Shift won’t happen on stage. They’ll happen here – on the sea, with a glass of Dalmatian wine, watching the sun go down over a coastline that stopped Alfred Hitchcock in his tracks. A private cruise along the Zadar Channel. Relaxed, beautiful, and a five-minute walk from the after-party venue.
Day 2 – Tuesday, September 15th
Craft Brewery Tour & Tasting
Six craft beers. One brewery. 120 minutes. A group of people who are professionally wired to appreciate how something is built from scratch. A guided tour and tasting at Zadar’s own craft brewery – the story behind the beer, the process behind the story, and a round of honest opinions from your team. Plus: fire-grilled dinner by local brand. Transport included both ways.
The best team meetings don’t have agendas.
All experiences are available as exclusive private bookings for your team. Please send inquiry to [email protected] in order to book it that way.
